A Mouse? How to?

Post by aussiemarie on Sun Jun 26, 2011 1:27 pm

Hi I have been asked to do fp at a children's camp with the theme: Narnia : Voyage of the Dawn Trader. There isa dragon, king, queen which I have a few designs and would love more BUT my biggest challenge is the MOUSE, Ripoocheep or something? So what makes a mouse a mouse? Muzzle like a cat? Rounded eara? Pink nose? Really long whiskers?? I would appreciate suggestions! thanks!!

You sure ask for a lot of design ideas... mice, celtic, pink skulls, white squirrels, etc... Perhaps you should research google and try a few things out, then post pics and people can help with ideas from there.... otherwise it just seems like you are asking people to do your work for you.

Melisa painted a squirrel last week. It is in a thread about raccoons. Maybe you can use that mouth on a mouse? I also like some of the examples in the thread of Suzy.

Suzy do you know you are tagged in the Tag play? Hurry before they go on Wink

ok I played around with it and found a full face I liked. Id clean it up for others, but this was on myself. I kept at it until I had a mouse looking shape!! LOL I kept jumping out the door and yelling for the kids next door to guess what I was. They got it on the second one, but I wanted to make the ears a bit smaller. Mice are small...sooo here they are!

first attempt

second attempt. the kids guessed it but i forgot the feather! i thought that was important for him to have it.

third and final attempt, I was happy with it. I need to make it more 'fuzzy' and the feather lighter, but otherwise....

so hash them and find your groove! its my best shot, lol otherwise i would make him cheek art with feather and sword. =0)

Thanks! I am still new to the whole full face designs, so i know they are bottom rung, but I know you all take bottom rung and make it high class by inspiration! so run with it! lol
yes the feather helps and the white on muzzle and ear tips.

<------ this one...

She had separate ears on top of her head. Other wise I think you would need to paint them... mice have super cute big ears!!

Tara your design is brilliant!
