Question about combining different brands in a design...
I am comfortable combining Snzaroo and Wolfe on a face design: Snaz as a sponged base (ex: spiderman red) and then brushing in spiderweb with Wolfe or Diamond FX black. But I have never used Paradise brand paint and have just purchased some metalics. How well will the metallics work or blend with the Wolfe for detailing?
Can Paradise be easily painted on Paradise? Because I have found SnAZ does not do well or float on itself...it muddies.

Re: Question about combining different brands in a design...
I combine brands all the time..
but then again..I have no paradise paint..
Re: Question about combining different brands in a design...
Paradise is alright, takes a different consistency for good linework. I prefer to use paradise for bases and my DFX for line work and details.
Snaz again takes a different hand altogether, but I found the same, it muddies.
I've heard mixed reviews about the paradise metallics though, and I don't have any of those myself.

Re: Question about combining different brands in a design...
I have Paradize, snaz, wolfe/dfx, tag and Kryolan.
It boils down to how well you know your paints and how they work for you.
So, set up a romantic dinner and really "get to know" them
hahahah
No seriously, like you know that wolfe/dfx is great for line work and you should avoid using snaz at all costs for line work.
Paradise is creamy, blends well, it has a nice consistency. I do not recommend it for line work though. It is better than snaz in that aspect but DFX/Wolfe is much more crisp.

Re: Question about combining different brands in a design...
I combine all the brands that I have.
I use Snaz for bases, Paradise for bases and some line work, TAG for everything, DFX for everything...
Exceptions:
I use Snaz and Paradise for bases (mostly) for children as they seem to find DFX & TAG to feel "tight".
I use Paradise black for line work on children as it doesn't seem to stain as badly as other brands. I don't seem to have problems with using it to get crisp lines.... but, everyone is different. What works for some might not work for others. *s*
