Blending with a brush??
K so on another thread someone posted this cute bunny:
[url=http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=202668386418394&set=a.202668369751729.51545.108419152509985&pid=730548&id=108419152509985]http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=202668386418394&set=a.202668369751729.51545.108419152509985&pid=730548&id=108419152509985
and am wondering about the technique to get that soft blended look around the ears... This is the third time I've come across it.
Where you get that sort of soft blended look without a sponge?? Becstar used it in her fairy/butterfly mask tutorial, Clayton used it in his dragon wing eye design vid.
I tried it last night and it didn't end up looking nice and blended, just smudgey
Is there a trick?? I painted on the base color, then the other color overtop and brushed it with a dry brush while still dampish.
Oh I use mostly paradise paint if that matters, ussually blends amazingly with a sponge...

Looks like they used a split cake to me. Has a little black and lilac or purple.

Re: Blending with a brush??
I believe after he adds the second color he switches to a dry brush with no paint to blend.
Re: Blending with a brush??
I blend with plain water. Just a few swipes does it. Now I have split cakes and they are much easier to work with though, and less time consuming. =0)
