Hey, Howdy, and Hello!!
Hello from the Springfield, MO area! I am originally a southern girl from Memphis, TN and been transplanted here for about 3 years now (still can't shake the accent though! lol) I have had Mug Shots up and running about a year, and finally starting to get noticed in the area. I have been a portrait artist and wall muralist for about 25 years. Proud momma of 4, PJ (helping to make my place in Heaven), my 18 y/o son in his first year of college (heaven help me) and 2 girls, 13 and 11. They both look about 3-4 years older than they are (Heaven help me more!) My husband is temporarily living in Houston TX and will be there for 2 more years. I am so ready to have him him come back! lol
I run a black light puppet ministry and drama team that has grown from 12 kids to 35, and I am expecting about 45 this year. I work with kids from 2nd grade to college. It is a real kick and absolutely my heart and soul, love my kids and this creative outlet for the Lord.
My 13 y/o paints with me when she can, and my 11 y/o is an self taught balloon artist bc she wanted a way to make money on her own when we are at festivals, and has gotten good enough to be booked at parties and what not now on her own. (Can you tell I am proud??) She lets me paint her face when we are out and that is her at 10 in my avatar. I haven't been doing this long enough to come up with too many of my own faces, so my originality is not quite where I want it to be, nor my speed, but I am getting there. I did come up with a perry the platypus that is a lot of fun, and a full face sponge bob, but still working on original characters. My husband teases me that I can no longer work on a canvas that doesn't wiggle, and offers to put them on a lazy-susan for me when I paint! lol
I have learned a lot from lurking just the last couple days, and hope to one day be able to turn that around and help someone else. Thanks for making the forum, and for a fun and informative place to go. I think FP'ers are a special breed, and it is so nice to be able to connect with some that don't feel like it is an out and out competition, for a share and share alike experience.

Seems like you are super busy! My little one is only 6, but likes to paint flowers on my legs and her legs so I hope she gets to paint with me at events in a few years
