Here's my first

Post by Taradoodles on Fri Jul 08, 2011 8:11 pm

I know its got mistakes but it is cute, and it was less than 30 min. Once I got set up. It was a last minute 'want' when I was painting the kids for the celebration. I had no time to prepare or browse my inspire file for ideas! LOL She wanted a teddy. I was SOOO nervous! I had to share though, Im still proud of it. I cant wait to see how much I improve with each one. This was fun and looking forward to my next one! Hopefully with more planning.

Very cute...I love the colors! I like the idea of using a rainbow cake to make a big circle. Is that name Paisynn...Payson?

It's adorable. So bright and cheerful. My niece is about to give birth, I better get right on it. Thanks for the inspiration.

thanks! Yes, it was the tag neon rainbow, and I am in love with how bright they are. I remember another thread talking about 'adding a base first' so I just thought it would work and bring color in.
yes, its pronounced PAY-SEN. She wants another one a little later on but with a design shes picking, so I get to do it again! yippee
thank you

LOLN I thought she would want OZ, but she wanted Daisys. Lots and lots of daisys. the main flower is stiff looking to me but she wanted it to look like the design she has on her invites. my line work is heavy. -how can I fix that?

They are both beautiful tummies!!
Brush quality & the amount of pressure you put on the brush make huge differences with line work. If you go out & buy one $20 brush, get one for line work.
Golden Taklon #4 is my one of faves Smile then just sit down & practice on your arm.. test out how the lines flow as you add more or less pressure to the brush. I find using a smaller amount of paint on the brush & keeping it fairly creamy for line work helps to give you control as to how much paint you want on Smile
Hope this helps!
