Split Cake Dilema Resolved...I think...

I have been contemplating purchasing the 6 Tag 32g cakes needed to make my own neon splits in lieu of purchasing multiple splits, but I after doing some math, I may have to rethink that strategy.

I figured that even if I pay the roughly $54 +shipping to purchase the cakes (total of 192g), I still have to pay in time and energy to make 4- slightly less than 50gm cakes.

However, if I were to buy the 4 ready made rainbows (totalling 200gm of painty goodness) the price tag comes to $55.96 + shipping. I think I'll just buy them...but I like the idea of buying 32g pots to make other color combos...just not the neons.

Thought I'd share since making splits has been a recent topic. It just isn't worth the time and energiy to save a whopping $1.96.

Someone (I forget who) did a GREAT rundown on the cost of different paints specifically to make Neon rainbow splits.
