Which colours ??
Hi I am new to face painting and will hopefully be doing my first (voluntry) gig next week for my daughters school production. I am just wondering which colours would you recommended for my kit??. I have some small snazaroo 2ml colours but hoping to go get some bigger ones this week, i just wish my purse would streach to get them all and save me choosing just a few. lol

Re: Which colours ??
Well, it totally depends on your style of painting!
I had a snaz palette to start, and then got a couple of paradise palettes. Love love.
I recently just replaced my light and dark purple, dark pink, blue, red, white and black, if that gives you an idea of what I use the most. Orange too is a must have (for tigers)
Get yourself some DFX white/black for linework.
If you can stretch your budget enough Matina carries the paradise sampler palettes, the colors are WAY bigger than the snaz 2mls, and way easier to use too, worth it to see what colors you like and want

Re: Which colours ??
Hi, I wil recommend, white, black, orange, gren, red, pink, blue, purple, brown, like cattsy said if you can get a small sampler palette will be grate, but that is the most popular colors you may use in one gig.
Re: Which colours ??
Bare essentials for me are DFX white/black, Snaz red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, purple and bright pink. And a rainbow cake.
Re: Which colours ??
Paradise Basic palette is a nice starter, if you don't won't to shell out $99 for the big boy
Black and white are a must! Don't get Snaz for line work. I've heard it's not good for linework. Try Wolfe or Diamond FX

Re: Which colours ??
I was going to post this pretty much exact question. I have the paradise pastel pallet, just bought a small snaz basic, so I could get feel for the different products. Now I think I need a good black and white (Is there a huge difference between Diamond FX or Wolfe? also does FPF shop sell Wolfe, I didn't see it.). Oh and I need a rainbow cake or two- I am thinking neon?
Re: Which colours ??

WOlfe and DFX act very much the same, Metina only carries the DFX.
As for rainbow cakes, I bought a regular 50g rainbow to start, and I wish I had bought a big neon and a small one stroke rainbow, and if I could go back and do it again that's what I would do
Trina

Re: Which colours ??
I started w/ DFX essential 12 color pallet (10g) and 6 mini cakes ,but the only one of those I have used up is the neon rainbow cake.I would recommend the large 50g rainbow and the 12 color pallet (around $65.00)
Re: Which colours ??
BTW- for just starting your dots, teardrops, and swirls are fabulous!!(in your advitar)
Re: Which colours ??
I like DFX a little better then Wolfe, but both a great!
A rainbow cake is always a fun thing to have in your starter kit! It's a WOW factor for sure
