Wings on my daughter

Post by Lonnie on Sun Jul 17, 2011 3:27 pm

I have been thinking for quite a while to try those wings on the back that so many of you have done in different varieties... My daughter volunteered and I painted these wings on her. I didn't have a reference picture (which I normally have)

One side is better than the other though... And the wings were made with a snazaroo split, and when I tried to add shadown on top, it seemed to just take away the snaz paint instead Laughing

Love that they spring from the little heart in the center. That looks really slick- and easier to attempt than the whole sprouting from the skin thing

Funny............. that with all the things I have painted on my daughter, I have never thought to do a pair of wings on her especially since her name is ANGEL lolol

I may have to give that a try now

Beautiful wings! I've also wanted to do these on one of my daughters.

I painted angel wings on a 1 yr old baby on the 4th. Her mom really wanted her daughter painted & was trying to make the best of their 4th while her hubby was deployed. The baby did not want her face painted or her hand painted, so I tried out the wings & the little girl had no idea I'd painted her. Mom nearly cried & I was so happy! I wish I'd gotten a pic.

I'm going to start offering this to the little ones if they have an opened back shirt & they're not in a stroller.

I like how the wings are open and spread all the way out to her shoulders. I'm sure it was a fun effect when she wiggled her shoulders up and down!

I also love the centre piece, the heart and coil underneath set it off beautifully. Loving all the angel wings popping up at the mo.

Thank you Smile

Changing: Aw, you need to paint wings on you Angel Smile

Sunrise: It was a fun effect, and she really liked them. She didn't want to wash them off in the evening, but of course she had to Wink

Those look so cute Smile I really like that you added the heart in the middle. I was thinking about painting some wings on my little one, but was thinking more like fairy wings. I haven't decided yet, but now I may have to try these!
