Re: Hello from Tammy :-)
Hi Tammy, glad you enjoyed your first solo gig.
Don't be shy about taking photos... just ask mum/dad "Do you mind if I take a photo for my gallery/portfolio?". I haven't had anyone say no yet, mind you I've only done two gigs!
Anyway, tell them they can go to your website or facebook and have a look the next day if you want them to look you up
- then give them your card. I'm assuming your web address is on it.
Shannon Fennell has kindly posted a few resources for face painters (there's a link under her signature), including a model release form that I adapted and used on my first gig. But I started to wonder if I had to keep all those bits of paper, and for how long... and if the time it took me to get parents to fill it out was worth it, so last weekend I just got a verbal agreement. In fact, most parents and kids seemed really pleased to have their pic taken... I told them that next time they'd be in my book... kids loved that. You never know, they may come back next time they see you to check, and maybe even get painted again!

I agree with Trinkie - I haven't had anyone refuse to let me take photos and I've been doing this for 8 years. I do the same - tell them that I'm going to put it on facebook and then hand them my card...makes it a good reason for them to keep the card!
