Anyone here does weight watchers?
I was just wondering if you can buy the books at the meeting centers. I found the 2 books I want on amazon but was wondering if they sold them there so i don"t have to pay for shipping.

The last year has been hell on my weight! too bad my class reunion is this weekend, you would think I would have started a few months ago

You can buy them, but they wouldn't sell them to me until I joined. Have you tried the WW online? Going to a meeting each week is about $39 a month, but if you don't want to go to the meetings, online is half that, and you don't need the books, bc everything is at your fingertips, and they have phone apps too. Down 32 pounds now... 4 more and I will be where I was when I moved here 3 years ago. I do the meeting price, but only go when I need a pick me up.
Re: Anyone here does weight watchers?
Thank you guys!
Kerrie, 3 years ago I lost 45 lbs without even trying, it all started with stress and work, 3 years later I have gained 25 back Argggggg! I have to do something, maybe we can start a support group here
Mug Shot, congratulations on your weight loss, that is awesome!!!! Can you be our cauncelor?
BTW I called and I can sign up for the to go program, you pay $13 every time you go, free registration plus $1 (don't remember what for) and the books are $9.95 each.
I don;t need to go to the meetings and I know I can get all that online but I don;t want to be attached to my computer and my phone doesn't have unlimited data.
I found the books on amazon, 43 bucks for both. The food companion and the dinning out companion. I have look through the food companion and I like it.
Never seen the dining out companion and was wondering if it was worth it.
Thanks again ladies

Re: Anyone here does weight watchers?
Just got back, I am doing the pay as you go, I have issues with commitment hahaha Got few books that are awesome, the dining out has points to tons of restaurants and I am so happy to get extra 49 points a week. I'll use those on my 7 points cup of coffee, half and half and real sugar for me lol.
Hahahah Kerrie, when I was pregnant with my daughter I lost tons of weight too, it was awful.

Good luck all of you doing the program. I have thought about it, but recently lost 40 pounds due to stress and everything associated with going through a divorce. I am not upset though over the divorce, quite the opposite, and the weight loss is a wonderful side effect, but I have about 20 more pounds at least to go. On a side note, I love to practice painting on my thigh and my canvas has shrunk and I don't have as much space to practice anymore. I suppose I should be grateful for that. I have also recently joined our local health club and will start working out again. I love Zumba!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

oooh Maggie, and now you are going to Florida. I hate it when I have to count calories or points or whatever during my holiday. It should be better to do though....

Congratulations on the weight loss Flutter!
Nancy, I know
and all the eating out. Lucky I got my books and even a restaurant guide with points. My little point calculator is awesome too.
I hope I can stick with it!

Maggie, you look beautiful already! But, there are many benefits health wise from weight loss, so have fun melting away!
Re: Anyone here does weight watchers?
Thank you Linda! But I do need to loose about 30 lbs, the older you get the harder it gets. So far I have been doing great and I eat a "TON"
What an eye opener when you look at the points, it makes you realize how much you are eating.
Luckily, we, including the kids eat very healthy, tons of salads (at least 5 days a week) whole wheat pasta, bread, pancakes, etc. We replaced hamburger meat with ground turkey breast but is the portion I have issues with. I want everything super sized

We eat pretty healthy in our home too.
And I found a great diet plan... have the hubby out of work!
We don't buy any food that isn't necessary, so no chips or sweets. We're not starving, just eating like we should!
