Hello from Virginia
I have finally taken some time to join the forum. I've been face painting since my teenage years. My local school and church in RI always used my services but I wasn't in business back then. I didn't start my business until 2005 up in North Dakota (hubby is military - we move a lot). I was finally getting started when the military moved us over to the Ladysmith area of Virginia in 2007. I took a bit of a break to get things settled with the house and kids. I started simple here in Virginia through the Girl Scouts and hopped into the main stream soon after. I finally have a pretty good following so I'm sure the military will try to move us again soon. The positive with face painting is that it can move with me.
I've only been to two face painting gatherings that were done in western Fredericksburg near Culpeper a year or so ago. We didn't have too many people show but it was nice to meet others in the industry and form some connections. I don't normally travel up to northern Virginia/D.C. but really want to attend one of the jams. In fact, I am making that one of my goals in the upcoming year.
I'm really looking forward to reading and chatting on the forum! Colleen

Welcome! I know how it is with moving and totally agree that face painting is luckily such an easy thing to move.
Funny how the following starts and then something happens to have ya move it! XD
