Yay for the first one out of the way. You will get more and more comfortable each time you paint. I threw up directly after my first party because I had been so anxious the entire time. Every time I went out, it got better and better. Now, it's just another party. No big deal. Still get nervous when there's video cameras involved. Lol!

Some times my hand still shakes if i'm feeling stressed. If the kids are too loud, or something personal is bugging me that i'm trying not to think about. Best thing you can do is remember to breathe. Like actually breathe some good deep breaths. More oxygen to the blood to calm the nerves.

Also we are always our own worst critic, the more you learn to be less picky the better and faster you get. Because they never notice you mistakes any way. Wink

I stick to full faced designs....

also, don't drink coffee before the gig...lol.sounds simple enough, but I used to always stop by dunkin donuts drive thru on my way to a gig and then wonder why I was so jittery.lol.

I didn't even realize I was doing it.now, my coffee is my special treat AFTER a job is over.

I try not to do cheek art, because it is so small and detailed-if I have to do something like that, I put it on their forearm instead-that way I can make it slightly larger, and I have more control since the drawing surface is flat rather than vertical.
