3 ER visits and a surgery later -- (update 8/1/11)

this will be quick. i'm typing on itouch at UT hospital.
biggest thingz
.ican't work the fair. majorly depressed a bout that.

herniated/ruptured disc on L5
removed that portion. nerve damage.

Ihopd ya'llare well. i'll be back ASAp.

heh.. drugs make typing hard. sorry.

As you can see from the above, I'm not to be trusted whilst on drugs.
Mark was trying to (silence my drug driven mouth).... er.... CARE for me, and thought that handing me the iTouch (audiobooks) would grant him a few minutes of peace.

Who knew they had free WIFI? (Go U.T.!!!)
I was terribly upset at not being able to fulfill my contract with the Fair.. I still am... But, Mark assures me that if he finds me propped up on the tent post, painting faces when he comes home to check on me, he *will* chain me to the bed.
he could have been more creative than that.... I've already done that to him.... once... oddly enough, he didn't seem to find it nearly as funny as I did.. Men!
It just makes me SICK that I'm unable to follow through on project that I promised some one.. yanno?
Anyway...

So, here I am, day one at being home.
Poor Mark is tearing down camp (an hour away), and dealing with our son.

I had mentioned in a prior post that I had back problems. The fall the other day acerbated those problems.
Mark had to battle to get me seen.. kudos for him.

Prayer/positive thoughts/etc... does work, people! (for those that believe in prayer - not wishing to offend anyone or their beliefs)

editing myself out of a few paragraphs.... to save you from my boring, drugged ramblings.. *g*

It seems that I had serious spinal cord issues... nerve damage... etc...
Great surgeon fixed me as best he could... even now, I'm WALKING!!! (with a walker, but, hey! I'll take it! )
I've nerve damage on my right side... it sort of feels like I've had a skin transplant of the flesh of my right leg/foot... I keep looking to make sure I've got toes... *laughing*

I'm not certain why I came here the night after surgery... I suppose that in part it was because I was so upset at not being able to work (face painting)... and ya'll understand where other's might not have...
