Sending healing thoughts your way!!
I am very happy you are doing much better!!! And Walking!!!! Awesome!!!!!
Heres to your speedy recovery!!! At least you will have time to relax now!! Take it easy and let your body recover from everything, I know you are probably the kind of person that wants to get things done all the time, but the more you let your body take care of just this boo boo, the better off you will be!!!
I am glad you have a very caring hubby!!! I would hate to think of where you would be physically if he didn't push you to get checked out!!
Oh and here are my flowers for you ....

Hugs from Canada.
Back pain sucks!! But it sounds like you got a great surgeon and an outstanding husband to kick your patooty into getting seen by said surgeon. Well done.
Best wishes for the fastest recovery possible!

8/5/11 UPDATE:
What a great way to get a smile !
reading and rereading the posts from ya'll
I went to the Dr today... still having serious Sciatic-like pain and nerve pain from the other day.
The back (pre fall injury) pain is mostly gone!!!!! *yeah*
Now, to get the nerve pain under control.
He gave me some more super-drugs, and to come back Wed if no better to have another MRI. Depending upon what the MRI shows, I may have another surgery on Thur/Fri.
crossing my fingers for the former
I'm in a serious funk about this... out of bed time is severely limited. I can't drive, and I think my husband is enjoying this more than he should.
Me - "Mark I need to...."
Mark - "No."
Me - "what if I...?"
Mark - "No."
Me - "but, but..."
Mark - "Would you like me to call the Dr?"
Me - "uh..... "
Mark - "here, have another pill."
said as he confirms the excel chart that he made of the meds/times/doses for me...
I really SHOULD have a second look at that thing.. *L*
I've scanned the cork while eating meals.... responded as I could.
The pain isn't controlled very well by the meds (nerve pain is hard to treat).. but, they do seem to help some.
I feel a bit snarky - so, I try not to say to much here... there... everywhere. remember - Mark has the drugs & the keys to the car...... *whine*
The Dr. laughingly told me today that as I was being rolled into surgery (before my last light dimmed) that I was worried about what I might say during surgery. (I have a tendency to talk - surprising, eh? *L*)
He said that I told him that although I hoped to sound profound, I was fairly certain that it might come out a bit profane.
I'm sure glad they don't tape those things.... *whew*
Painting is out just now... but, I am trying to find ways to modify my inspire files to better express *me*... *s*
Again, my sincere thanks for all the well wishes.... they are cherished.
Blessings -

Re: 3 ER visits and a surgery later -- (update 8/1/11)
You are so funny sweetie!!! I know how hard it is to be on bed rest. My first pregnancy I had twins, had preterm labor from 4 months, and severe nausea and vomiting (I literally lived on Kool-aid, it was the only thing I could keep down). My ob thought I was faking it, never could figure out why, I even threw up in her office...lol.... when they did the diabetic test... I had to do it 3 times cuz I couldn't keep that sugary crap down. The third time I just kept swallowing, it was disgusting, but that's the only way I got through it... Anyway, I was on bed rest for 4 months, I had to be laying on my sides and couldn't sit up past a 45 degree angle, and she said that would be pushing it. The only time I could get up was for potty, and to go to the doctor, I LOVED GOING only because it was the only time I got to leave the house. I spent a lot of time (almost ever other weekend) in the hospital for preterm labor, and dehydration. My second pregnancy was better but I still ended up on bed rest, for 2 months, same with my third pregnancy, for 3 months, and 1 month of it in the hospital, due to my asthma. But I got 4 beautiful children out of it.
The whole thing is just a matter of mind. I did a lot of reading, playing games, and tv...... and talk about cabin fever.... ugh... so I know!!! I am hoping you get off of bed rest soon, and have a quicker recovery/healing than is expected!!! Sending good thoughts everytime I think of you!!!
