Scgilland i have 2 of the cases from sterlitte and yes the foam inserts fit in them..you have to cut the corners off a bit but they do fit..i have them in mine...you can get them here on the forum...I also keep a bubble wrap piece inbetween the lid when its closed i have paints on both sides and have no problem with the paints mixing or getting into each other..i have 2 of these cases with paints on both sides..

Maxie doesn't get pulled or picked up by anyone but me because I'm afraid someone will break her. I had a dad try to drag her up a flight of stairs by the handle affraid I also had a well meaning Navy Sailor lift her into my trunk & lay her on her side... spilling everything inside....

My Fatmax has been through a lot over the 2 yrs I've had her & her only issue is the lid is getting a bit saggy (a child leaned all his weight on it... several times... even though I said not to... grrrr). I now support it w/ a folding stool that fits perfectly under it.
