I used scrapbook stamp....
Is this cheating?
The white lines could have been cleaner. I will try next time but it was 2 in the morning already.

Re: I used scrapbook stamp....
That's a very pretty stamp, and I certainly don't think it's "cheating". I have a maple leaf outline stamp that I fill in red or white on Canada Day, or blue for the Toronto Maple Leafs. I could free-hand paint one, but it's more uniform using the stamp.
Lots of people use stencils too, I just got a fairy one that I think will become a linebuster for those crazy busy days.

I deleted my post because I don't want to cause controversy in any way.

Re: I used scrapbook stamp....
LOVE it! (...*running to check out my own stamp stash*...)
What a great idea!
I especially love the maple leaf outline idea, Isabelle!! I need to find one, being another Canadian and having a HUGE camping trip/facepainting good time with 20-30 kids every Canada Day long weekend! I've been free-handing them and they are not awful, but wow... a stamp would be SO much better!!

Re: I used scrapbook stamp....
is the mermaid a stamp also...i love it...i don't think its cheating you still have to do the details and all..good work ladies
Re: I used scrapbook stamp....
They are disney stamps, they come in all disney cartoons, I have all the princesses, mickey mouse (no as popular as the princess) and some others that I use to do special tattoos, they work really good with the body glue.
Re: I used scrapbook stamp....
Also... you can use lick n'stick tattoos and embellish with face paint... like little butterflies and the like... then after the face paint washes off they still have the tattoo.
I wouldn't want it on MY face but the kids go for it, and in the summer parents are usually cool with it too.

Nicole, How do you load the stamp? Paint it on or press the stamp into the paint container?
Re: I used scrapbook stamp....
That is so cool, and really pretty!
Post a tutorial on stamps, I do not see any difference between using a stamp in the middle of something you painted and putting on gems or adding scales from a stencil!
We could all learn something new to put our own "stamp" on!
Shannon, do you put the lick and stick on before you paint?

Re: I used scrapbook stamp....
Ya know... the Disney police are everywhere... if you are using a licensed character stamp and CHARGING for the resulting artwork you MIGHT be breaking copyright laws.
I know of case of crafters using Disney fabrics and selling the things they made out of it being sued and/or shut down.
The products are "for personal use only" and not to be used on a resale basis... Just a heads up it you are wanting to use Disney characters.
And face painters have received letters from Disney lawyers for having images of Pooh etc on their displays and painting them!
