Learning...... and Lovin' It!!
Hello All!
I have been practicing this new medium for the last year and loving every moment of it! I sure wish there were some social and educational opportunities for beginning facepainters here in the Twin Cites area of Minnesota. I have just about worn out the kids in the neighborhood and would love to have some linework and sponging instructions to kick my designs up a notch. I feel very stuck right now! I will definitely be following your posts and picking up all the tips and suggestions that everyone is so willing to share. Looks like a good group of artists here! :O)

Re: Learning...... and Lovin' It!!
Rebeckah,
Welcome to the Forum! There is a lot of good information here as well as amazing sharing artists to help you grow!
I know where Eagan is - we stayed there on our last visit to MN (where hubby lived many years!) We always must visit every year or two to hubby's homelands of MN and WI. My daughter loved the Mall of America with the Camp Snoopy in the middle.
You have an amazing artist not that far from you. Have you seen or heard of Tina Carroll? http://tinacarrollfacepainting.blogspot.com/
And I will plug Shannon's book Your Face or Mine since she is too modest. It is an excellent book with step by steps and more details about setup, blending, sponging etc... that are harder to "get" on your own.
Enjoy the journey! And ask away if you are stuck on a certain thing....

Welcome! I'm sort of in your area...Eau Claire, WI. If you're ever in the area, I'd love to have someone to paint with!

Hi Daisy Ray!
It would be great to get together some day and 'jam'! I don't get to your area very often unless we are just travelling through, but I'll sure give you a shout if I do. If you get to the Twin Cities, the invite is open here as well!
