Pictures of my tent setup

Post by Denise Cold on Fri Aug 12, 2011 2:37 am

I took some pictures but they aren't so hot. I've got to figure out how to hide my dolly since I don't really want to take it to the car. Maybe I'll just park it right outside the tent. There's a tree there so it won't interfere that much.

I'm loving the drawer organizer though. I put all my rainbows in the first two slots, splits in the next single colors in the last and I had my business cards and Liquid Bling in the left over slots. It was nice because they were at an angle so I could see them and more fit on the table. I had room for my water, black & white, and small split cakes in front.

I found a cool accordion folder for my glitter tattoos at Savers (thrift store). It's got a large accordion section, a small accordion section (coupon size), and then there's this little square box area that I put extra business cards in. I like it because I copied my stencils in sheets (2 copies), put them in sheet protectors and put one in the accordion section with the stencils that matches and one of the sheets in the design book. It's really easy to find stencils this way and its pretty compact.

Can you see how the signs hang from the little barrel beads used for rolling up the sides of the tent? They are just the right distance for the Vistaprint small banners. I just use the corner reinforcements and put the barrel bead through the hole or through the loop.

The white chairs are IKEA and they fold up really flat but they are SLIPPERY suckers. My daughter figured out we could loop the legs around the head rest on the middle bench seats in the van so they don't slide around the car. My design chair is the 25" from IKEA. I bought the 29" for me and the 25" for Emma but I'm finding I like the shorter one and "steal" it when she doesn't come with me.

I've got two design books out. I decided that I needed to up-sell a little bit this week or I would have another frustrating night so one of the design books was my party book with full faces. I did end up selling 6 $5 faces this week compared to one last week.

I love the camp kitchen but it is a little heavy. It spoils me though. I have a place for glitter tattoo kit, wipes, water, brushes, glitter, everything. I just put my brushes in Sponge Bob cups for the three different types. The kids actually love them...I literally have someone notice them every time.

Love the garbage at the bottom of the kitchen. Clients love to use it too to get rid of cups & trash. I decided not to use the kitchen storage detachable shelves unless we were at a multi-day fair. Saves a little setup time. I just leave my purse locked up in the car.

what if you made a lightweight fabric 'cover' for your dolly to advertise or put huge painted face on it? your name could then go on the bottom. ?
why not, if its going to be there everything should pull its weight.
if it works then its fantabulous!! looks great, even if a little whited out. Id want more color.

Very nice! Very Happy I like the idea of using your dolly as advertising space. You could cover the contents (or maybe use a lidded rubbermaid bin instead of cardboard box), place it at the front of the tent with the handles facing the crowd, attach a poster to the front and tie some balloons on for extra fun and interest.
