I'm not big into having my fatmax loaded up with a ton of stuff and I bought it for one reason. When I used a tote to carry my stuff in, it took at least 6 minutes to set-up and break down. The fatmax brought that time down to 2 minutes setup and breakdown. In my world, that extra time just bought me a bathroom break in between gigs which I think a lot of you can agree that is priceless.

As you can see in the photo, I work right out of my fatmax. All I have to do to setup is to move my brushes and laptops to the top and fill my cup with water.

Heck, even PARENTS touch the stuff. They love to steal my mirror.

I don't have one just because of the nature of where I work. It's not necessary. But I love my rolling backpack! Fits my kit perfectly and I just wheel it around so it saves my back. I also like to keep a simple kit with only the colors that I really use.

Beautiful fatmax. I love that my fatmax is set up & ready to go at a moments notice. It is where I keep everything but my chair for a party & is about 2-4 minutes setup & breakdown time. It's my table & my storage & if it doesn't fit in the fatmax I don't need it. For festivals the extra stuff I need is in my Professional Face Painter bag from the forum shop(tip jars, banners, etc).

I know I got my fatmax about 8 months ago but it is heavy and sometimes it doesn't fit in the house for the party, sometimes theres alot of steps and I have to lift it sometimes its a bother.
It is amazing for festival though couldn't live without it. I need a portable system just with the laptops for small parties not at festivals.

I try and set up where one side of my fat max is always blocked, usually the right side, and I keep my back where no one stands behind me. I'm right handed, so I sit to the left of my open fat max. That just leaves the front top area exposed to the line and I keep two large pieces of thin plexiglass that I use to cover the top of my open palettes to keep nosy fingers out of my open paints. That way, the paints are covered but I can still see them. I just lift the plexi when I need access to that color. I'm thinking about devising some type of barrier using the same plexiglass but having it to stand up in some way as a "fence" across the front and sides to keep the little ones (and sometimes the big ones, lol) out of my paints. that way, I wouldn't have to keep lifting the plexi, and the kids can see my colors but 'NOT TOUCH", lol.

I just use a tote bag and a tackle box. Tackle boxes are really handy! Mine is quite small, and I can fit all my paints, brushes, glitter, business cards, designs, face wipes AND sponges in it. Then the mirror and paper towel get tossed into the tote bag and I'm ready to go!

Love my fat max. The new one has drawers, but I have not seen it anywhere but in pictures here. I like having all my eggs in one basket, and the heaviness does not bother me. I keep the water out of my Max, just in case there is a leak because it lays flat in the back of the car! I just close up my fat max, grab my bucket and chairs, and I am gone out the door. It serves as my "studio" at home too Very Happy

Love, love, love, love, love, love my FAT MAX, too!!!! I keep my empty "Rinse Well" (love THAT, too) in it; but I don't put water bottles in it when going to my weekly restaurant gigs. It takes all my blessed strength to get it into the car (seriously, it does) but I can get it out a lot easier. It, too, serves as my home studio and, when I don't wheel it into the hall closet, it serves as a cat sleeping pedestal....

Also, I am a sit-down painter and the FAT MAX is perfect for that because I don't have to bend or reach very far to get anything out of it I need.

I use mine for festivals and larger events when I need a lot of product. It's nice to have something across the top to make it a little bigger tabletop surface. I never use it for simple birthday parties. I love to use it when I am doing balloons for a large event. I think once I fit something like 1500+ balloons into it. The little compartments were perfect for keeping everything organized. I also have a toddler who loves to get into everything so the Fatmax is great for storage too.

The plastic water bottle ice cube tray that works as a brush holder will fit PERFECTLY into one of the middle section slots (I keep mine in the farthest right one) if you remove that blue snap on section that's on the bottom. You won't need that part because the brushes can't fall through if the ice cube tray is kept in the slot. it doesn't interfere with closing. I keep my brushes in a container that stands upright (so my tips don't get bent) in the bottom of the fat max. I put them back in the upright protective container after a gig and clean them when I get home. I'll take a photo tonight and try and post it, although I HAVEN'T had any luck posting here before. Guess I don't hold my mouth just right, lol.
