Any Ideas? **** updated with photos ****

Post by Manabanana on Thu Aug 18, 2011 12:30 pm

I would have never thought my #1 request is Belly painting!

Well, a local photographer asked me to help with a Maternity Shoot she is doing. She wanted at least 5 ladies to paint pumpkins and Jack o'lanterns on. Well, at least 11 women have decided they want it! It will be group shoots.... WOW lotsa bellies. We are going to try to do shoots in smaller groups... because that painting would take FOREVER! The bellies range from 3 months to ready to POP!

Any ideas on how to keep them all different? scratch pictures would be AWESOME!

p.s. have I ever told you guys how awesome you are? cheers afro flower

A pumpkin patch would be sooo cool. Different sizes and shapes of pumpkins on each belly, sitting amongst the vines and leaves, a couple of grouped ones, scattered... would be a great photo! With the right lighting could be really striking.

Could do different Jack O'lanterns and then have them sitting on "fence posts" for the photos... or a fence rail... that would look cool too.

Depending on the ladies, you could do a Jack O'lantern totem... paint the faces sideways on the bellies, then have the ladies lay down beside each other to "stack" the pumpkins... could be very cool photo.

Thanks a bunch Shannon!

We are going to be going to our local park that is a historical site. The 'pumpkins' are going to be on a wooden fence and a stone wall.

we are up to 14 interested models...ohh my.... I just keep telling myself that not all the models will be able to make the time. Very Happy

How about a pumpkin patch with a different toy leaning against the pumpkin, for each belly - like a patchwork teddy and a vampire teddy and a witch teddy... okay, maybe make each toy a different type of halloween costumed teddy Very Happy

I think playing around with different Jack-o-lantern faces would be cute.

thanks so much!

The photographer was unable to make the 2nd photo shoot with the bellies, so she did something crazy!!!!

Gave me her camera to take the photos myself!!!!

HAHAHA she is one of my besties though. I editted those last three photos, took the photos, and painted. With a $1000 camera!!! ahhhh

she took the photos on the 1st ones that were outside and editted them.

On the second shoot it was raining out, so we went to my familes Gym they own (I am in a family of gymnasts... I fall more then anything.) We took the photos in their ballet studio. The fence they are on are our home made beems to hold on to for pointe ballet. Smile
