outtie coverup

Post by Manabanana on Fri Aug 19, 2011 1:51 pm

I have a belly painting tonight and Mama is very worried about covering up her outtie belly button. She said it is a belly button hernia from being pregnant. I havent seen it yet. but I told her not to worry we can work with it.

Any special tips anyone has about covering it up? more color to camo it up? or less and draw the attention somewhere else? scratch

She was looking for a beach scene with a stork flying.

Thanks for your help in advance! flower

here are some pics. I think we did a good job covering it up, but I didnt think it really needed covered to begin with. She was just worriedabout showing it off. Smile

Maybe it could be the storks bill. Mine would have passed for a bill when I was preggo.

ohhh nipple cover! might try that.

I was thinking too maybe make it a hibiscus flower. So that would incorporate it!

We shall see...picture later.

Thanks for the suggestions so quickly! flower

Just incorporate it into the design. I've seen them used as noses, flowers, etc. Or make it a very dark spot of the design with contrast around it to draw the eyes away.

That's what I was going to say. If you shade the area really dark it will blend right into the painting. That's what I do w/ nipples if I don't have pasties.

I added the updated photo. I didnt think the belly button was anything un-normal...so I didnt do anything to it. It isn't an original idea, but I'm happy with it. She found a picture and I found 2 others close to it and we mixxed them all together. Smile
