I love working with my hands and learning new crafts. My current vices are jewelry making, crocheting and making hair clippies.

It's wonderful to see everyone's 'other' arts that they do. Your all so incredibly talented.

Wow! So fun! Everyone here is so talented - no surprise, that, naturally. Shannon your artwork is beautiful! And Mandi I love your stained glass. Also am jealous of all the cake decorators - would love to learn to do that!

Lessee...I draw and paint both traditionally and lately more digitally (cleans up easier when you've got kids around, lol). And I scrapbook - also digitally. And knit and crochet when I've got time. I've sculpted some - I customize My Little Ponies! Razz Lemme see if I can get some pics up.

Here's a mural I did for some friends boys' bedroom:

[img][/img]

Here's a pair of shoes I decorated after the Tim Burton Alice movie came out:

[img][/img]

Here's a bit of my traditional art, a pastel portrait of my family as of two years ago:

[img][/img]

Here's some digital art, just for fun:

One of my custom ponies, a commission job:

And a scrapbook page, showcasing my youngest son in a sweater and hat I crocheted (hah! see how I artfully show off two hobbies at once!) Ignore the weird box at lower right, that is where I blurred out my kids' names:

My husband puts up with my serial hobbies because he is the same way himself. Nice to have an understanding!

Wow wow wow. What a great thread!! Really enjoyed everyones hard work.

Mana, I love your dragon mural, just looking for ideas for my sons room which needs a serious overhaul. Feeling inspired. (cute drawing too!!)

Maaandi! You right there! You're a very busy lil creator! Awesome, love stained glass. Ok, so what are your clocks made of? LOVE the brown one. Snap on the cakes! Will have to dig out some of mine. Specially when my youngest turned 2, so much like your 3 yr old cake. In fact I also have another pic for you to laugh at with a stained glass effect (not the real deal like you do)

Sunrise, LOVE the mural and the work on those shoes was amazing.

Actually the more I think of it, I think I do have some pics to share....I'll be back tomorrow with some.

Wow! Tons of tallent on here!

I don't have a lot of pics of the other things I do. I mostly do stuff requested from my church. I've built sets for VBS using foam boards & a hot cutting knife, a blowtorch & glue it together w/ plumbers foam(you know the stuff... it expands & seals solid... don't get it on your hands... it's worse than super glue). It's not so much a hobby as a necessity.
I also am trying to perfect the art of decorating old ballet pointe shoes for resell at our yearly Nutcracker. Here's a few I've done.

Mandi, this is the stianed glass effect I was talking about. It's just Gallery Glass paint, designed to give the stained glass look. I've done a few scenes for the boys room, depending on what they're into at the time. This is the biggest one I've done though. It runs about 8m down the length of the room and then wraps around down the side of the room too. Can't hold a light to the real thing, but has it's place. : )

the boys rooms at the mo, also have a pokemon scene on one of the windows. They're well past Spidey and Toy Story now, but we don't even notice them anymore I don't think.

Zentangles

This sketch is a special one to me. Haven't looked at it since I did it nearly 7 years ago! Can't believe I actually didi it. Anyway, I was in hospital for the last 2 months of my second pregnancy. At about the 4 week mark of going insane I started to try my hand at learn how to draw books. One of the nurses then turned me onto a book called Learn How To Draw From The Right Side Of Your Brain (something like that) so I started working my way through the book. I was nearing the end of the book when my waters broke. While I was lying around waiting for something to happen I drew this! I'm quite proud of it. I'm sure people who can actually draw think it's amature city, but I liked it, and it really showed how far I came in those 3/4 weeks. I had a picture of Jack from a mag as a reference. Would like to one day try to go back to trying to sketch.

Here's another one for you Mandi, see what I mean?

couple more cakes...the boys pick one each year. They love it.

That's all for now folks! Don't have any serious addictions, just tinker in stuff from time to time. Until I found this painty world that is : )

Rae I love your lookalike stained glass window effect. Especially the long one with the flowers very pretty and the one's for your boys, so cool. I've dabbled in this effect too, window decorations ie: for christmas. I even made some stained glass effect cards one year for everyone at christmas time.

Your drawing of Jack is the bomb, it's amazing what you can do when you have the right instruction. I also have the book Drawing on the right side of the brain it is a great resource. For me of late it's more a challenge to dedicate time to sit down & do it. As opposed to being on the forum or fp.

Love your cakes LOL I did the pirate ship one too. Geez it would be lovely to meet up with you one day, I bet we'd get on like a house on fire. Very Happy

Stacia lovely paper craft, it's properly the one thing I haven't dabbled in paper craft/scrap booking. One day maybe, lord knows I have enough photo's. cyclops

I actually went to school to study Jewelry and metalsmithing but when I graduated and moved to PA I no longer had access to the studio and equipment at school. I worked at a jewelry store for a little while when I moved here but I couldn't be creative. I was just sizing and repairs so I left the job. I haven't been able to afford the equipment I want so that has been put on hold. I miss making jewelry very much though. Here are some pics. Not the best pics because I need to polish my pieces and I need a better camera.

This was a tribal project I did at school. Made with copper and hemp.

I do Quilling, beading, Cross stitch, and numerous other little crafts i cant think of right now. Below is a quilled angel i made for my mum for xmas last year, it has all been made with rolled up bits of paper and took me about 6 weeks from design to framing - a lot of that was done on lunch breaks at work (hardly ever at home as mum was living with us at the time) and on the bus while my car was stuffed. I used to have more pics that were better quality of it but i have a feeling they were lost when the PC had to get wiped at the beginning of the year Sad

Great work you all are doing!

I have a few old drawings at http://lone-wolf-dk.deviantart.com/gallery/12165590

And just (well 2-3 hours per painting) this series to my mothers boyfriends daughter that is getting married this Saturday. Any last minute suggestions to changes?
They are less than 10x10 cm (4x4 inches) each by the way.
