The Awesomeness that is my blinged out FatMax

Post by pinkundies on Sun Aug 21, 2011 10:31 pm

Since we are sharing pics of makeup cases, (Suzy, yours is absolutely adorable), I thought I would share my FatMax.

My husband claims it's a cryin shame what I've done to a perfectly good Stanley toolbox lol! He can't look at it without his eyes tearing up! Laughing

That's fabric? I was thinking about getting some colorful duct tape, I saw some that was purple and blue, but fabric gives so many different options! What kind of spray did you use? That sounds like something to try. That is if you don't mind Smile

Fabric I bought at Walmart, the spray adhesive I bought at Michaels, I think it was that Tacky glue Spray, it's a gold spray bottle. Just spray it on and put the cut piece of fabric and smooth it out, it should seal nicely. Then when I was done, I sprayed a clear acrylic craft sealer.

Then I added the gems, though my dog likes to bite them off. MAX!!!!

Also, I saw the colored duct tape at Michaels too. They have all sorts of designs including cheetah, and they sell large squares of it too instead of the rolled tape, but i thought it was more fun and cost effective to do it the way I did....

I covered my 'Fatmax' logo with a logo of my own ... I didn't like the name! I don't need to remind everyone of my weight issues... lol!

That looks awesome!! I love it!! I am debating how to make mine prettier, thank you for sharing.

Magna, I popped the logo right off. If you look on the inside you see that it is not permanently fixed but has plastic clippies holding it on. I can't remember if I pried it off from the outside or slipped a screwdriver under the clips from the inside (I think the latter). But it came off easy and without damaging anything. Now there are just small square holes where the clips went through.
