What do you call yourself on facebook?

I'm getting ready to create a facebook fan page, and looking at many of yours I see that you all have called yourself different things: artist, local business, entertainer, etc. Does it really make any difference? What made you choose one over another?

On my business page/fan page I went with "Artist" to start with then changed it to "Arts/Entertainment/Nightlife" which pretty much covers my services. It is art, entertainment and lots of potential jobs involve nightlife.

We went with local business. At this time,"local" is our goal. Eventually, I see us more along the lines of how Shannon is listed.

Good question. I am interested in this since I haven't tackled the FB page yet. (don't really know what I'm waiting for- just haven't done it yet) But this is exactly the sort of stumbling block that would make me decide not to even bother with it.

I went with "Event Planning / Event Services". Originally I was under Local Business but I thought a little more specific might be better. I'm still not sure about it though...

Face painters are all over the map... depends on how you see yourself in your market I guess.

Exactly! I clicked "create page" and it brought me to this list of choices--I was already stumped, right out of the gate. Lol

I can't remember but pretty sure it was along the lines of party entertainment.

I do KNOW that I have TWO pages... erm... I swear, I wasn't drinking when I made them.
I started making one, then it said that I couldn't do "something" (can't remember what that was either.. heh) and needed another sort of page.. which I promptly made so that I could continue making the first page... (lesson: don't *do* Facebook late at night, when everyone else is asleep and you can't call for FB advice.. *sigh*)

The names that I use are Kat's Faces & More (which is what I started out making, as I already have a personal page for family), t hen, due to my incompetence, I had to make the "Kat Underwood" page so that I could finish the other page... glum look

I don't think I'll ever be awarded the Face Book Savvy Face Painter of the Year award, eh?

I think I went with Local Business > Event Services

It made sense, local because I can't travel too far, and I'm a service for events... Simple right? I did have trouble deciding whether I was an entertainer or an artist though...
