Re: What brushes are your favorite?
I'm a big fan of the Mark Reid #4 and #6. I especially find the #4 really good for making dots, perfect perfect dots! I didn't however care for the #2, I felt the bristles were a little too long. But that could be just me.
For beautiful petals, I love the Snazaroo red brush, it's just called "large round".
I also really like Princetons.
I've had different favourites along the way, I'm not sure if I'm just fickle or if I'm still refining my tastes. But the Mark Reid ones have had the most lasting power in my favourites stable!

Re: What brushes are your favorite?
I like several different brushes.
Royal Majestic #0 is my fav fine line brush.
The Robert Simmons #6 is my all time fav. I can do most everything with that brush.
Honestly, it's a personal preference. You are going to like what you like. Not everyone loves every brush the same.

Re: What brushes are your favorite?
I love the Loew Cornell 7000 series brushes from Michaels. The #4 especially. BUT... (i always add a but!) If you're looking for a good quality brush at a low price, I suggest the Simply Simmons ones from Michaels (Currently on special at $1.99 each, entire stock i think). I love ALL of them! I have #0 to #8, and they have been so good to me. I also have the 1" Flat Wash which is great to use on Arty Cakes. Their #10 filbert is great as well. But my all time favorite is the #4 Loew Cornell 7000 series.
Happy Painting!!!
