Re: Extreme Halloween

Hey does anyone have any special tips for liquid latex and peeling skin FX or melting skin type fx. I think I am going to try to get a zombie flesh hanging theme going on this year but I have to head down to the movie production shop but not too sure what products I need and all. Liquid latex you buy in a jug and paint it on right? I am guessing I am just going to peel some off and paint again building layers and just let it all hang in flaps etc. Any tips would be appreciated as this will be my first time playing with that medium. Can't wait to try it out!

That's been covered before... prehaps try a search for "Latex"?

Also, I blogged HERE about how to do easy latex effects.

I searched it only found painting on it threads and then one about it being for sale and freezing temps of it. Not quite what I was looking for. If you have a link to the thread please post it as I can't seem to find it. I was going to google it as well see what I found. Thanks.

I tear a piece of Kleenex along the weft. iIt will be jagged I paint the latex around the edges of the torn kleenex and lay it down into position. Then, I paint in vlack eyes, bloody noses, etc. I paint a quick thin layer of latex over the just laid down kleenex When it is dry. I tear open a hole or two to create a pocket for scab blood and then I paint necrotic colored skin and plops of decaying skin.

Play! Have fun!
