Re: Hurricane Irene evacuations
I'm so glad things weren't terrible! I saw a Mega Destruction special on a Cat 3 hurricane following that same path on the History channel awhile back. . .OMG! It was insanely scary. Now that things are better you should watch it if you get a chance...I think it's on you tube.
I hope everyone else is okay too

Re: Hurricane Irene evacuations
Unfortunately, during the hurricane, a fox died in my yard ;-; He got his head caught between our wooden fence posts and was hanging there this morning. I only hope that he died quickly, and did not have to suffer. So sad, he was so pretty. He's in fox heaven now!
No humans here were hurt, so that's good, at least.

We only felt a few feeder bands here in FL as it passed by about 200 miles of the coast. I'm glad everyone fared pretty well & it weakened considerably! I did get a pic of the surf, but my photo didn't do it justice(I should have gone w/ video).
BTW, I'm a "Bad" mamma... It took a hurricane coming for me to finally take my kids to the beach this summer & I live only 15 miles away.
