Re: Prayer Request
I hope surgery has gone well Melody! My other half and I ride and I always worry more about the other asshats (great word lol) out there more than I do about him driving...Many prayers going out to your brother and his family and you.
Re: Prayer Request
Hey Facepaintlady, how's your brother doing? We're still thinking of him and praying for him!--if it's appropriate, let him know!
Re: Prayer Request
Hey everyone, thanks for your thoughts.
Daniel has finally been fitted with a new prosthetic leg, but he says it hurts, and it's not supposed to. He seems to be in good spirits when he talks to me, but his wife has informed me that he is a good faker. She tells me his depression is pretty severe, and their relationship is suffering. I am hoping he can pull his head out of his naughty word and be glad he is alive. This should be enough to wake him up and give him a new appreciation for life. That being said, I can totally understand him falling into a depression, too. I don't know what I would do if that happened to me. I would probably be a bitter old b*tch! So... thanks for the prayers, keep them coming... especially for his emotional healing.

Re: Prayer Request
Mama, you know you and your brother are definitely in my prayers and thoughts.... big hugs.
Re: Prayer Request
It's a TOUGH transition, I am sure. Now that he's physically doing better, can you get him to maybe give you a hand on line management just to get him out amongst the fun...
I am praying for him...
OK, so this is warped & possibly inappropriate, but I so wanted to paint a kids with a missing arm the other day...just gore it out for him, & take advantage for Halloween..(Kids are so spontaneous & resilient & I thought it might bump up the fun for him)but alas--he never came to my line--probably Providential...hehe,
But would've been a great Halloween painting...

Re: Prayer Request
Hi Melody
I have been off forum for two months with cross country move, and am so sorry to hear about your dear brother.
As a nurse, I have seen much tragedy and it is heart breaking, but you would be heartened and surprised to see how things sometimes go in a bit more time.
Of course prosthetics can be uncomfortable but he will be able to adjust and hopefully counseling, pain reduction, and talking with others further along in This process will help a lot. It is a horrible thing to adjust to, but I will pray that he does it well.
Blessings
