My first few tries...

Post by photomomma6 on Mon Aug 29, 2011 11:20 pm

Well, here are a few attempts at henna--I'm LOVING this stuff--I think I'm hooked!
I'm doing a charity fundraiser this coming weekend, and it will definitely be something I'm doing!

Sitting Bull was on my son--he had to have an indian on his arm, and my daughter is hooked on H2O so she wanted a mermaid!

So fun! I love henna. Double check your insurance to make sure it's covered. I understand it's an exclusion for some policies.

Awesome! It is a fantastic add on for facepainters, altho for me, FP was an add on for my mehndi!

I will be doing an advanced henna spot on FABAtv in November, but before that there is a henna conference I'm teaching at in October in California and one in March in Rhode Island! Attending a henna conference is a way to make your skill level skyrocket over a weekend! Watching some of the better youtube vids out there can help, but hanging in a room full of seasoned old farts is probably the best teacher/motivator!

Welcome to your new addiction!!!! Watch out! It's contageous!! LOL Very Happy

[sigh] I really wish I could still do mehndi. My insurance would be voided it I did, so I don't. But I trained with very talented lady in Vancouver back in the '90s and did a few parties.

Now I do fake henna with Reel Creations inks. Not the same, but looks right for a day or two.
