Glue to affix gems?!

Can you use glitter tattoo adhesive for gems on your designs?? Or is there something better for this?

I use glitter tatto glue & it works fine. You can also use eyelash glue.

I only use gems at birthday parties, but would love opinions on how many times to provide a replacement gem? Even with eyelash glue, they sometimes come off. I was at a party recently, and the little girls kept wanting their gems replaced if they fell off. I told them two only, and one of the moms got a little mad. What do you guys suggest?

I bought a bunch on sale so I usually replace them but I've only had a few since I started cleaning off the spot where I'm sticking them...I think Linda suggested it...I use a q-tip and clean off a little dot where I want to stick it and let the glue sit just a bit before applying it. The best way is to apply the gem on bare skin if you can but with masks you really can't.

I'm only doing one jewel per birthday girl next time though...they take up a lot of precious time. I'd rather have one big one than 4 little ones.

I am fairly new to the gem thing on faces...but I use them a lot in my art. I find with faces (I use eyelash glue) that the larger ones from the dollar store work far better than the little ones. AND more than half the time if they happen to come off the little girl finds it and brings it to me to reapply LOL. Added bonus of the LARGE gems!
