Practice Skin

Post by Creations on Thu Sep 01, 2011 6:12 pm

Hey guys,

I order yesterday 5 x 30x20cm practice skin, so I can practice my brush stroke and designs and not be interupted by having to get up and clean my arms etc. It cost me only $10 for 5 pieces. Does anyone else use these? Is it the same cleaning method as the head? Can wait to get them and start using them.. so excited.

I used the spongy, heavy duty shelf liner I got for free from someone and I loved it but it stained like crazy but it sure helped me when I was starting. I drew faces on a rectangle and made it through almost the whole Wolfe Brother's book.

I'm not thrilled with my practice head because of the staining of my overlay "skin" I wanted to be able to take pictures for customized boards but mine is already bruised...I'm so abusive!

Good luck with yours.

D.

I use practice skins and they do stain. DFX metallic green is the worst. I wash the worst of the paint off then use vegetable oil to rub the rest off. It works well but you really have to work at it.
