Help with feather wings. Please!!

hi all! I really need a SBS for feathered wings! My very pregnant SIL is coming over TODAY for my first belly painting. She is going to let me do whatever I want. I really want to do mommy/baby unicorns with the wings behind them. But I truly suck at wings.

only new but have done them sort of filbert brush 1 stroke u or none one stroke filbert lay down pull sort of -(confession) I only got a filbert this week so maybye I am over keen on the filbert. I am interested in how other people do them too.
