Marketing Idea You Might be Able to Use Also

The Bike Show I'm doing next month left me off their flyer after they promised I'd be on it.....soooo.....I printed my own matching type saying



in a word document....printed it out....cropped it to fit exactly where another ad was...glued it down....went next door to the library....used their copy machine to turn the large flyer into a half size one, so 2 will fit on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet....and printed 50 sheets (100 flyers...tax deductible advertising!)

There is about an inch and a half of white at the bottom of each flyer which I was going to cut off....but decided to write this instead.... Present this flyer at the Bike Show for 1.00 off FACE or BODY PAINTING.

It looks really good. Showed it to the librarians and they couldn't tell it had been changed.....I'm handing them out at the GREASERAMA car show tomorrow....

So the company that paid for the ad you covered get ahold of a copy and gets hot under the collar, complains to the event... because they think they've been left off the official materials... could cause a bit of a kerfuffle...

No one payed for advertising...they are a PDF file made in house that anyone can print off....I've known the promoter for 7 years...if anything she'll apologize for leaving me off the flyer and buy me a drink.
