Awwwww...

Post by Arty-Farty Party on Sun Sep 11, 2011 6:40 am

Today the most beautiful little girl with golden curls fell asleep in my chair while I painted her! She snoozed peacefully while we all gathered around giggling and taking photos.

Also once a little boy fell asleep with his chin resting in my hand. I was holding his chin up while I painted and his head just kept getting heavier and heavier until I realised he was snoring little baby snores. My giggling fits woke him up.

Has this ever happened to you or is it just particularly boring in my chair??

Have you ever had your face painted by someone else? The brushes and sponges are so soft and soothing. My face painting partner at SickKids hospital asked me to paint a snow man on his cheek about ten years ago. We both normally paint ourselves. He just wanted something small. He said he was shocked at how great the brushes felt. When you paint yourself, it is not as soothing or relaxing. Since I am the Facepainter, I never have anyone else around to paint myself.
Facepainting is a transformative art that feels wonderful as it is brushed or sponged on. I wish a Facepainter would come to my house everyday and create a new face. Oh, that would be me! It is not a good idea to go to your Parent/Teacher meeting painted like a cheetah. It was very distracting.

Oh, how sweet! I had a little Spiderman fall asleep as I painted his face. Being face painted really is very relaxing!

I love it when they dose off, their little heads get so heavy as they rest their chins in your hand. They stay still that way!

I've never actually had one fall asleep but almost. What a cute little doll she is!

I had one, my very first festival. She fell asleep without me realizing it, and when I was done, she fell forward and face planted my belly. Scared me to death! lol

I've had them fall asleep but never THIS deeply! How cute!! I have had several adults comment on how relaxing it is to be painted. I've never been painted myself (aside from letting my kids do it, which does NOT count, haha) so I hadn't realized.

Yes I've had it happen a couple of times whilst I was painting. She is a cutie patootie.
