de-potting your paints

Post by Avasmummy10 on Fri Sep 16, 2011 10:25 pm

So I have seen a few posts about de-potting into a craft box etc, and am considering doing so myself. I would like to hear the pros and cons of doing so, so I can make an informed decision (rather than regret it after the fact). TIA Smile

no cons in my eyes... Love it so much! I guess the only thing you have to watch out for is making sure you like the thing you pot them in... It is a pain in the butt to keep re-potting til you find something you love.

And test each brand in the container before committing to a lot of it - I put some MAC Chromacake recently in a container I thought would be great for it (polypropylene) and it separated. Snazaroo doesn't react well to the styrene based containers and might break the container.

The only problem I've had is occasionally forgetting what brand/color something is, since it isn't in it's original labeled container. That doesn't happen very often though!
