I'm my own favourite face! hahaha I sit still (for how ever long it takes - and don't really care how long it takes), and since discoverying FP'g, for the first time ever, I love my long face and high never ending forehead. LMAO My line work is always way better on me than on others. Although wrinkly soft skin is my enemy. haha might have to find another hoby in a few years. Problem is I don't make any money painting me!! But I do find it very relaxing, I totally zone out.

Synni, I hold out the camera with a mirror behind it too!

Thanks for the replies! I'm continuing to practice and it does seem to be getting better (at least marginally!) ... but perhaps painting my face well will develop out of necessity like some of you. My toddler's often bored with the idea of being painted already, and I can only paint her arm or hand anyway. :-)

I can't. Impossible. I tried and tried but first,I'm half blind and I can't see anything without my glasses so I have to be really CLOSE to the mirror and then I hit it with my brush Laughing and second, my line work when I paint myself is like a .... eeejjjjjgh!! Such a pity because I'm always ready and happy to be painted (my kids aren't and sometimes bribes don't work )

I feel your pain, sister! I can't see close-up anymore. I used to be able to but a little thing called age ruined that for me. Just putting regular make-up on is like an Olympic event for me.
And my only child is a 15 year boy who won't let me anywhere near him with a paintbrush. Thank goodness I have fat thighs to practice on!!!! geek

Same here. As I said somewhere over here, my thighs are the most posted canvas on the forum Laughing

Ladies the auto timer on your camera. Have where you want the photo taken, put camera at hight you need. Set timer and get in position , camera will take photo. Have flash on or off.You will need to play a bit to get it how you want. Then next time you want to do a picture all you need to do is replicate the original setting.

I guess maybe I'm an exception, but I've always found it easier to paint myself. I always hold still, and I can take as much time as I need!
