Hi-hi from a Brand Newbie :p

Hey all! Although I've been artsy/craftsy all my life, I am brand-spankin' new to face painting, but super excited about it. I got interested in face painting after a 4th of July celebration this past summer that offered face painting for children as one of the festivities. The designs were cute and simple, and I found myself thinking, "I could do that...." So here I am, trying to do that, hehe.

After mentioning to a friend my new interest in face painting, she just recently asked if she could hire me to paint faces for her son's birthday party in October, so I've got my first gig! I'm nervous, but she pointed out that it's just a bunch of 3 & 4 year olds who will be happy with just about anything, and I guess that's a good crowd to start with, huh?

Anyhow, I'm glad I found this forum--the art is fantastic, and the idea pool is just invaluable.

I love friends like that. When I first started, my dear friend had me paint at her son's party. Looking back, in my opinion, my designs were crazy looking,LOL but each and every one of those kids loved whatever they got and all of the parents were so happy. It's great to get party experience when you are among friends.
