Face painting outdoors in a hot/humid place...
I am currently working in the FL Keys and just about every booking is lately is for an outdoor party. The biggest problem I am having is that as soon as the kids start sweating (which is usually immediately) I clean the skin before I start, I have a fan going to dry the paint as I work, what else can I do? Refusing outdoor parties is just not an option, I would hardly ever get an event to book. BTW- I use Snazaroo, Diamond FX and WolfeFX paints.
TIA!
TIA!

starblends powders, use them as your base color and then add your details with your favorite paint, I was so please with the color brightness and how smooth it goes on, I started out with just red, white and blue for a 4th gig in over 100* heat and they save my rump
I have since gotten 4 other colors and am pleased to have them cuz down here the weather can go from a pleasant 80 to 90+ humidity.

I use Starblends, but I am not crazy about the lack of coverage from the white. I have red and black too(these cover fine). I use them more on boys. Spiderman, mario, venom, etc. I do know Snaz melts quickly. I dont use snaz unless it is cooler out. You're DFX and Wolfe should hold up better. I try to stay away from the mouth (eatting purposes, kids will smear it) and if you can the most sweaty parts. (temples, neck,...) . You could always offer to paint a forearm or upper arm instead (as long as you stay out of the back of the elbow and armpit (sweat).
Hope this helps.

I have just about every Starblend color. LOVE THEM! As for the white, you really have to saturate your smoothie blender with it (Don't even try to apply Starblend with anything other than smoothie blenders from Silly Farm) It may even take two coats. Your line work is the only thing that will melt from sweat...so you may need to tweak your designs to use less linework. I paint out doors nearly everyday in the summer and Central New York can get very humid. Hope I was helpful!
