My First Official Boards

Post by OtterGirl on Mon Oct 03, 2011 1:26 am

In preparation for a big event later this month, I've finally gotten around to getting some serious boards put together. I'm going to post them and see if you have suggestions. Be gentle Smile. I know I'm not as good as many of you!

FYI, the little girl with the rainbow (below the "$6" square) and the boy with the penguin face are my kids. Smile

Otter girl,
Great job on the boards, such a good variety of designs to choose from! Your kids are so cute. And I may have mentioned this before...I'm in love with the otter - sooo adorable:)

I'm not sure what the market will bear where you are, but I'd start at $5. Your prices seem very low for such nice work!

That looks amazing. I have been trying to figure out what designs would be most popular. Looks like you covered it totally. Great job.

Awesome board and cutie patootie kids!

I used the same prices as you Otter, and this weekend I have decided to up them. My lines were crazy long at the past 2 festivals and people actually said they cant believe it is so cheap. And I live out in no-wheresville. Not anywhere near a big city. I'm going to $5/$7/$10.

We shall see how it works out this weekend. Smile

Where did you learn to write in Japanese? I would up that price, what a skill!

You guys are so sweet! You totally made my day. The event I'm painting at is HUGE (20,000 people over two days) and there are 5 or 6 other painters there as well. They said last year the lines were so busy the painters didn't even get potty breaks! The policy of the venue is that prices start at $4 and go up from there. The $3 is a typo. Smile Should I up prices in an attempt to control my line? What if everyone just uses the other vendors?

As for the Japanese, I learned it in college. Never thought I would actually use it! Smile
