Healthy Faces

Post by Taradoodles on Sun Oct 09, 2011 10:25 pm

I have been super busy with life recently, still busy but had to show you something im proud of! I got a call for an event that wanted to know if I could do 'healthy' faces instead of the normal designs. I took the challenge. They wanted masks only, nothing inteferring with nose or mouth since they had healthy snacks and related brushing teeth, blowing nose, coughing, etc
Anywho, I had saved a pumpkin mask from someone in here in my inspire file and boy did it inspire me for this!! I had to show, and thanks a bunch to the person who posted it!!! I ended up using glitter on the kids and painting lips on the girls that wanted it. It went over really well, but I still found it funny. kids were loving the veggie n fruit idea and the designs were super simple to construct
the hardest one was the dang cheek art star that is the head of the healthy show. I felt I had to have him.
the biggest bonus? It got me TWO more gigs with the same display board for the group!! YAHOO!!
Otherwise my life has been busy with house stuff, daughter having seizures, packing for trip and just general getting ready for winter maintenance, plus halloween of course. heres my pic, hope you try some to....
what would you have said if someone asked you to create a healthy faces only board? id love to hear your thoughts on the subject to!
bounce Very Happy sunny geek

here are a few pics from the kids
this little girl was a wiggle worm so I wasnt to happy with the strawberry, but it turned out ok. she wanted the green siwrlies by her lips, she was the only one who got them, i didnt like'em
this other sweet girl held so still and came up asking for 'sweet peas' LOL she was so cute

These are too cute. Very creative of you to come up with these masks, and they translate so well.

So very unique! (Sorry about your daughter--been through it w/2 of my kids. One got homeopatic treatment 1x and never had another. The other just weaned herself from 15 years of anti-seizure medication and has a whole new life...face & body painting!)

I thought the star was Patrick Star wearing karate gear! LOL! Love the concepts and how you wove the designs around like brocolli & corn. Nice work.

Your designs are so cute Tara, I may have to try the Corn and the pumpkin one if you don't mind...I think they would go over well at the pumpkin patch/corn maize.

To stinking cute.. I heart the peas. Love your display board. Is it cardstock?
PS I think Lisa Joy Young did a pumpkin on you tube recently too.
