Registration for Fabbulas - Coming to Philadlephia NOV 21-22, 2009

Wanted to share that you can register online for the first ever (hopefully annual) FABBULAS conference.

Super excited to have a seminar of this caliber in my neck of the woods and really hoping to meet some of you there! My understanding is that the pre and post Classes schedule for all the instructors will be available early August. You have to be registered for the Conference (sat/sun) to be able to register for the classes though. Spoke with Cyde (pronounced Sid) and she is very on the level, so don't be shy to call and ask questions. ;0) IS ANYONE THINKING OF COMING?? Speak!.. LOL

I am SO in, Avigail! I can't wait, it is already on my calender...I have been waiting for a convention in our area, and the list of instructors is already impressive. I never get the chance to travel far for conventions due to my small children, so this ROCKS!
I hope they get a good turnout, it can only mean better classes for us!

Likewise! I was so disappointed when the 2 day Wolfe Brothers workshop in PA was canceled, but it seems everything really does happen for a reason! Same money and tons more instructors to learn from. Heck, if we can share a room it'll be just $25 each.. (need two more, its 4 to a suite) and then we can paint to ALL HOURS! I have never been to any workshop or conference, and only wish it was SOONER! ;0)

And yes I have already regsistered.

WHO ELSE OUT THERE IS FROM NEIGHBORING STATES? OR PA?

BTW - for those outside of PA - Kerry Ann Smith is terrific and local to philly. Look her up - she is also a very successful business woman and I would love to hear her speak about that.

Metina it would be so cool to meet you! You are such a powerhouse and well, I'd be thrilled!

What do you think about the idea of a business class - maybe more along the lines of pricing larger jobs, hiring, expanding.. I am wary of the Philadelphia Painting Tips brand of generic marketing tips. I would, however, love to learn from the professionals we meet what their business experiences - highs and lows have been.

what do you all think?

That sounds great. I would love to help out in any way I can. I think I remember Gary Cole is there and he does loads on this. I could read all of his suggestions all day!

Okay, so now that is looks like my job is ending (boo! i hate being unemployed ) I'm more interested in this class, especially since I just saw the message about Mark Reid joining the team. (small squeee! - I've been wanting to take a Reid class FOREVER).

Is anyone from NYC looking to go? Anyone looking to share a room? Us poor unemployed painters will probably have to take the train and share a room if we're to be able to go... ::le sigh::

You could share a room with someone not from NY. Just meet them there. Just a thought!

Oh, I wasn't looking to just share a room with a NYC-er. I was just wondering if anyone from here was going. Thought it might be nice to have some company on the train and on the way out to the hotel.

I would love to go...i'm from PA originally (Scranton though, not Philly). Can't afford it right now though...but it really sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting there is not an issue but would prefer not having to deal with the creepiness of walking around Temple's campus at night, even though it's extremely well lit.

hello everyone!! i'm planning on attending and will be looking for someone to share a room with. just one other person. just to give u a heads up I'll be 8 months preggo so i'll probably be going to bed early (like 11pm) and is going to try to get as much sleep as i can. I don't care if u smoke just not in the room of course and i'm going to try to be low key. so if u want to share a quiet room, let me know!!
