Have you ever seen one this big?

Post by Geekophile on Tue Oct 11, 2011 9:10 am

Look how HUGE this picture is! And the VERY best part is that the caption reads: "Sophie Houser with the Pensacola Face Painters Guild..." How often does that happen? they usually stick your name as an afterthought at the end of the caption IF at all. woot! woot!

Hmmm perhaps she knows the editor..... Smile
I've had mine in local papers 2 times. It's wierd, because the first one totally ignored me and reported on the kids and the second one ignored the kids and focused on me. Maybe the next one will be balanced.

Wow! The only thing that could beat that would be if they put your website and phone number in the caption! Congrats on the publicity!

thanks guys! I've been in the paper lots actually, (or my work has) about every other public event that I do. only half the time do they mention my name- (once they even printed the wrong name -Sophie Smiley?- even though I handed the guy my card!) But this is just a HUGE photo. It is on the second page of the paper. And the quality of the image is so good that you can see every brush-stroke! And my name is front and center.

Oh, that's so sweet! And a great idea to add it to my website. Unfortunately I can not find it in their online edition at all to post the link Crying or Very sad

So awesome. Isn;t it exciting to be in the local newspaper?
I was in a magazine in our area for at home businesses. Just a small picture. Not a very good one actually. But, hey it got maybe 2 people to see my business name. hehe

Congrats. That is a beautiful picture as well.
