bad week but my baby cheered me up
Due to a family emergency- My mother broke her hip, (on Monday) she is going to be OK, she has osteo so we both kind of expected it sooner or later she is doing OK. Not so much heartless as we had a plan if it happened. So all as well as could be expected.
Has impacted also the amount of bookings I can take, and also looking after her house, her dog, runs to hospital. and my mother is notorious to not doing as she is told and she won't implement life changes that she should, according to myself, my siblings and the medical community, (she is stubborn) - so this could take a while.
But on a light hearted note, I had to put my 20 month old child in emergency child care for a day this week – her first time in care ever. After a traumatic day I asked how she went.
They told me she had a good day love painting but was more interested in the older kid water colours; she left the finger painting group and went over there. They remarked how advanced she was. She dipped into the water, then the palette had them working they hadn’t seen a baby of her age do that ever. But unfortunately kept trying to paint the children’s faces not the paper. They would give her paper and encourage her but after they thought she was fine she would promptly attempt to paint the nearest child’s face. It gave a bad day a nice end.
I normally paint her hands as if she sees me with paint she presents them. So today I let her have a go at practice head, with a sponge and cotton bud this is her after. Just thought I’d share, she managed to blend powder blue and teal on her hands with a sponge. But kept pointing to black so I thought why not.

I brought the photo to my mum she gave me a lecture - which as her daughter I know means she was happy (funny how you get to know your Mum) I told mum if she didn't behave that she was next as she couldn't get away.
but thought I would share -Oh and go easy on the artist shes only 20 months.

she is naughty cheeky and delightful all at the same time, she is the last baby and gets away with a little more.
My mother looks like she may be developing an infection, they are running tests results in soon. I hope they are wrong, she is diabetic. and not healing well after opperation so I really hope that it isn't as it is her hip.
I hate to think of the consiquence if it is infected.
