Kudos for Faketoos!.... and baby's got a new pair of shoes!

I am going to be working at a three day festival in the beautiful Smokey Mountains this weekend!

Next weekend, I will be working at a soccer event - there will be 30 teams there... plus parents/etc)... yeah!

So... I needed some more tattoos as well as needing specific tattoos for the soccer event.
I emailed back and forth with Faketoos, trying to figure out the best cost effective way to purchase a large amount of stencils.... AND, get them in a hurry! *heh* (isn't that the way that it always is?)

What a super guy and company!

It's almost 1am here. I'd just sent a message to Faketoos (thinking they'd get it in the morning)... and, guess what? I got a phone call in a matter of minutes! wow, that's service!

So, anyway... I know that there are a lot of great stencil sites out there... just giving Faketoos a high FIVE for their efforts on my part!

AND....

I finally found some shoes that I can wear!
Sure, their size 11's, and I wear an 8 1/2... but, I can NOT stand for anything to touch my toes... top of the foot, and, sometimes, the bottom of my foot... hurrah for referred pain, eh?

They're mules... they're big enough that my toes have room.... heck, I ended up buying TWO pair... (buy 1 get one 1/2 off) ... I'm saving money.. right? So what if I can't wear them in a few months?! *L*
that is if they figure out what's going on with my FOOT!

I've worn house shoes (sans toes) when I've gone anywhere since July.. I'm SO tired of them. laughing

Anyway.. two great things in one night... had to share!

I got them at Rack Room. They're leather.... one pair is black, the other a brown.... I thought they'd go with most things "casual".

I printed 4 coupons, gave one to my sister, one each to my nephews (school break in their county) and used one myself..
40% off!!

I'm set for the next two festivals!

We did buy some fine glitter today to make a sample board of some of the stencils ( 1,000) that I bought last night. Chassie (sister) said that she felt that having sample tatt's with glitter would help the customers to better visualize what they may look like once on.

May I ask what your experience was like using the tattoos. I just ordered some from Faketoos also, but am having difficulty pulling off the clear layer without also pulling up the purple layer a bit. Then I get gaps and the glue doesn't stay exactly where it should. Maybe my technique is wrong...I don't know.

my husband is in charge of the tats because he says I dont have the patience for them.

Painting I try to be fast fast fast

but sometimes I am too fast ripping the clear plastic pieces off the stencil and the small pieces and lines dont stick to the skin.

Thanks! I do it the way they recommend, except for quickly blasting the wet skin with a hair dryer. I'm not sure how big of a difference that would make.
