FABAIC Website is up!!!

Ahhh! So excited! So many different changes! Picking a track to focus on? Body paint competition held outside and instructors can compete again?! That's just rude. There goes all the hope I had. Very Happy But seriously only 8 months! Counting down now!

I've never been but I had been dreaming and thinking about going, if not to this one then perhaps the next. But I was seriously disappointed to learn that they've moved it to Fort Lauderdale. One of the things that made me consider attending was that my family could enjoy Walt Disney World while I was busy at FABAIC. At this point I cannot justify the cost of going all the way to Florida just for FABAIC. So I won't be going. Sad

Yeah, I am bummed as I just don't think I can swing it.... It would have been my second year. Plus, I liked the old class format better than the sound of this one.

The new format sounds interesting, but I want both the advanced face & advanced body track... I guess I'll have to get my cloning experiments up & running... Wonder if I'll have to pay for both of me Razz

Isabelle it's so totally worth it. It is an incredible experience. I haven't been to any other body art convention but I've heard this rivals the top. You have to go one year

LeapingLizards: It'll be my second year too. At first I was bummed about the new format but I think it would be really neat. Hands on class from 9:30-12:30 is really helpful, then the random fun stuff after. It'll be a hoot.

Psalmbook: Let me know how the cloning works out, I could use one to go to regular work and the other one gets to do all the gigs I miss while at work! I'm suuuuper excited about the advanced face track. An actual hands on Wolfe class I don't have to pay extra for? Whhaaaaaat?! So cool. Pashur is really helpful in step by steps and I haven't taken a Mark Reid class but I've seen his tribal and I really need help with mine.

I guess what bums me out is before I could get beginner tastes in a variety of things- but now you pick one, and it's the same for the entire event. So, if you pick one and then decide it wasn't for you, or you really don't like the teacher, you're stuck for the entire event.

I DO like the idea of more in depth, but I tend to need variety.

As it stands though, I really doubt I'll be able to go. If my other half comes, there's no one to take care of the critters... But- Maybe... We'll see how I feel when my tax return comes! Wink

I don't know if I like this track thing. Part of the appeal before was that i could take just what I wanted according to my skillset in that area. I mean I was able to take the more advanced FP classes but got alot out of the beginner henna classes.

I mean it would probably be a different thing if you could choose a track per day and stick with it. I guess it is gonna come down to what they offer as the "Mixer" classes and see if there is enough variety offered there to balance out only being able to do the 1 track.

I'm still not sold on the whole move, but we'll have to see how that plays out whether I go for a 3rd year.

Not if you clone yourself after you've checked in at the convention!
