Post by Heather on Sun Aug 02, 2009 1:41 pm

I was just perusing your blog, and came across a spidey that you did in one of your very first posts.

It looks like you shaded the edges of the face with black (and I'm assuming the center is snaz red) to give the design some more depth. Do you do that with all of your spidey faces? Because I'm thoroughly impressed. Very Happy I would have never thought to do that (I generally just do the all over red), but it looks great.

Mind if I give it a try the next time I do a Spiderman?

Edit: Also, do you mind me asking what silver that is? I have an old Wolfe silver, but I'm fairly certain it doesn't flow as nicely as that. Maybe I'm just using it wrong, though... A

Hi... sure go ahead... The spidey face is actually a diagonal - black blending into red on the other side (Kyrolan black and Snaz red).... and it is Wolfe Silver (old one...!) and a liner brush quite wet but not dripping.

It is farther down on the first page. Also, what is that thing he is wearing - is that part of your chair or makeup cover? Very nice Spidey, I think I will have to give this a try too, my spideys have been horrible and melting in this heat! Why would anyone have an outdoor party during the dead of summer in Florida!!

This is the post http://shannonfennell.wordpress.com/2009/05/10/i-am-really-here-now/

And he's wearing a zipped-up jacket (it was early and chilly... and he's asleep which helped with the lines!)
