Crazy Day to share

I gotta share this day with yall. This has been a crazy time in my life lately and sometimes I'm just not all there, LOL. I went to a really nice gig at a church that is about an hour and a half away from me. On my way home I realized, I forgot my ENTIRE kit there. I just left it sitting outside the church door! I was about 20 min into the ride home when I realized so I turned around but when I got there everyone had gone and the church was locked. The coordinator got a hold of me and we are meeting up Monday to get my kit back! I felt like a total loon! Never has this happened. On the way home I started to cry because I felt so crazy for forgetting something so important but then I started laughing because it is kinda funny. So, yes I think I could be losing it.

Then, I stop by my church on the way home for our weenie roast and hay ride. On the hayride, we hit a pothole and 3 kids fell off the back. One being my middle son! He hit his head and scuffed up his back and arm. He and the others will be ok but man did it freak me and them out!

So, I'm going to go to bed and forget this day and try to find my brain tomorrow.

Oh wow! I'm glad it all turned out okay (kit safe, son okay) but yeah... Stressful!

Wait 'til you hit 50 and the brain cells self-destruct at an average of 3,000 per minute.... What you described above sounds like a typical day of the week for me! I've had a little black cloud that follows me everywhere for so many years now that I had to give him a name....which, by the way, is "Blackie" (I know, sooo original)...

Sorry to hear you're having some challenges. My advice is to look for the humor in EVERYTHING.... it's there, you just have to look for it. Remember, too, that behind every black cloud is a silver lining...which I think I should name "Sylvia"....

At 50 eh? I'm doomed.

Miss Ronnie, I am doing exactly that. I have been finding some pretty crazy things funny lately. Even though I felt super silly for leaving my beloved kit behind, in hind sight it was so crazy of me I just had to laugh! When I talked to the lady on the phone, we just laughed about the situation and she is meeting me tomorrow. A good sense of humor can cure a lot of life's craziness.

Don't feel bad... Suzy Sparkles posted that she went to a gig and forgot ALL her brushes. And she doesn't look to be anywhere near 50 and in danger of losing those all-important brain cells by the hour...

I think the minute I got pregnant some 15 years ago I began losing mega-brain cells... and it's all been downhill from there!

It is sooooo true Miss Ronnie! I think my brain capacity went to pot as soon as I started having kids. I get so forgetful. One of the funniest things I ever for got other than this was...When my cousin got pregnant with baby #2, I told my mom that it was sad that she didn't have a baby shower for the first one some 3 yrs ago. My mom just stared at me, and said," She did, and YOU and I gave it for her!" I had no memory of this at all! Mom went into detail about all of the things we did, games,food,etc. I really thought I was crazy then. Most of it finally came back to me but not until mom told me all about it. My mom remembers everything.

Yay, got my babies back today,LOL! All of my paint, brushes and anything else you can imagine are safely at home now. All it took was a 2hr round trip that turned out to be a great day spent laughing with my mama.

After getting my kit back we went shopping ,to Applebee's and then to the super nice Kroger grocery store that they have in that town. Mom and I like to buy diff. kinds of cheeses and fancy bread each time we go. This time we tried garlic goat cheese. At first it seemed ok, but then I could taste what I can only imagine licking a goat would taste like! My mind was quickly taken back to the days at the petting zoo and the barnyard scent that your hands have after petting those critters! I'm sure many folks like some goat cheese but it is not for this chick! LOL

I wish... it was this past July. I think... My house and I are the same age. The City sends me a reminder every year a month before my birthday... why I have to give them a gift makes no sense...

You're just a spring chicken!!! Glad I'm not as old as my house... 112... but I think I'm in more of a need for a total restoration than the house is!!!!

I forget movies that I've seen, I forgot a child in a toy store(at least I left them in a happy place), I've lost my car in a parking lot only to realize I drove my hubby's car(passed it like 12 times:-) & have lost my debit card so many times that it now costs me to replace it
