My AAAHAH Moment

dear Face paint Forum,
I have been slowly but surely improving on my face painting techniques and folks in town are seeking me out for events and parties. While this is wonderful, I just have to share about the transformation going on in my creative self - When I got into the forum and watching fp videos I was so focused on learning how to do what "they" do that I strived and struggled to copy, copy, copy....and I got better. But now, I have realized that I dont always need a step by step or to copy something exactly, its much funner to just work it out in my own style and put my own flair to a design! I know many of the professional painters may say, Duh...but this has been very "freeing" for my painting experience! I can create my own now...or at least I think so...
I thank all the excellent painters out there for showing me the way....

The copying is how you learn the basics. It puts the techniques into Muscle Memory. Once you know those, your right brain takes over and BAM.... the world gets to see YOUR vision!

Just wait. In another year, you'll look back at the stuff you're doing now and think, "wow! I've gotten so much better." It's so fun to watch yourself grow.
