Gallery Pictures- Does it work on Firefox?

Hi Metina,

I can't seem to get the gallery to upload any pictures. When I click the little icon it says "The size of all the pictures is higher than the allowed limit. You cannot send more."

I'm not quite sure I know what that means.

Please help! I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.

I am using Firefox, and did not have any trouble. I did make my picture pixel size smaller so they fit my monitor screen better without scrolling. Not sure if that made the difference.

There is a minimum size that you can post. Usually if you make it no larger than 4" X 4" at 72 dpi, you should be fine. It has to do with the limits of the board rather than your Internet program.

I'm sorry- that wasn't very clear. This is happening before any pictures are selected.

I click on the "Gallery" button
I click on the "Your Personal Gallery" button
I then click on the "Upload Pic" button/ Icon and then I receive the message.

So I haven't gotten to the screen that says "browse" or any of that. There is only this message:

Information
The size of all the pictures is higher than the allowed limit. You cannot send more.

I just did as you did and got the same message. I then deleted one of the pictures in my gallery and I am able to browse and upload another on next try.
I don't know why you would get that message on first try before uploading any pictures
do you have invisible pictures in your gallery already?

I know, I know. We have maxed out the limit on the photos and I will need to purchase more memory for the forum. I am going to have to revise the limit requirement.

This is fixed now. I have updated the forum to allow a lot more photos.

The upload limit is 100,000 bytes or .1 megabyte. By reducing your photos to 72 dpi and keeping them about 4" X 4", it should work fine, but please let me know if you are still having problems.

You could make the photos sizes smaller too to save on space... they are pretty big on this forum!!

Yeah. I didn't realize that the limit prior today was 4 mb per photo. That has been drastically reduced now. I just hope that everyone will let me know if they have problems with the new size.
