Re: CHARGE PER FACE????
I have $5 and $8 designs and do $1 moustaches on the face or the finger.
It really depends upon the venue, though. I found out the hard way at my first big PPF event, that people were paying ridiculous prices for everything except my painting. I could have made at least double what I made. But I figure that it gave people a chance to be painted that may not have been able to afford it. Next time, I will research the venue better, and not have the prices already on my menu. I will add them once I know what is reasonable for the customers to expect to pay.

Re: CHARGE PER FACE????
I think there is a whole thread on this somewhere...but I'm at $3 or cheek, $5 or crown/half face and $8 for a full face.

Welcome!
Depends on the situation - I was at $5 no matter what, but depending on how busy it is I might charge $3 for cheek/$5 for face, to keep things going
(people don't seem willing to pay much for ppf in my area.)

Re: CHARGE PER FACE????
It does depend on the venue, but I think we all start ourselves too low, and bump up after just a little. 5, 8 and 10 seem pretty reasonble. but if the day is slow, I would rather paint than sit! I put things on "special" so that it just looks like a good deal if things are slow!
Re: CHARGE PER FACE????
I did 7 & 10 at Halloween---I hate cheek art, & figured if I priced it high, people would choose full face --- it worked usually, or I developed the cheek art to where I would get tipped the extra three...

I think what you can charge varies by event too, I read somewhere on here that you can usually tell how much you can get away with charging by the price of a bottle of water at the event, $1=cheap, $2=moderate, $3 or more=go all out. At my last PPF the water was $2 and I started out charging $4, $6 & $8...but everyone kept saying my prices were so cheap and that I should charge more (and my line was 2 hours long!!!)...so I kept some at the old prices and added some at $10, $12 & $15 just to see if people would pay it....and THEY TOTALLY DID!!! So next time I think I won't vary my prices that much, but I'm going to raise them for sure.

Don't you love it when that happens? I teach private violin lessons and my rates have gradually gone from $10 for a 1/2 hour lesson to $30.

Re: CHARGE PER FACE????
I don't charge less than $5 for anything unless it's a few sprinkles of flowers or a small butterfly on the hand of a patient/tolerant toddler.
5/8/10/12 is reasonable for small seasonal fairs
Larger county/state fairs could easily do 8/10/12/15/20+ depending on the venue.
